A few notes on the playoffs:

1. They are double elimination.
2. Trophies will be awarded to the winner.
3. The winner will be invited to the National Championships to be held in Las Vegas and/or Toronto.

On another note, on March 10, 2002 Hockey North America held a meeting with the Philadelphia Referees. Part of the meeting was to discuss the enforcement of color coordination and uniform rules during the playoffs. Rule 203 on page covers this. Please ensure you pack your bag with the proper uniform and colors for the playoffs. Players who are out of uniform will not be permitted to play. The referees will not allow players out of uniform or out of color coordination to compete in the game. Furthermore, the referee has the right to call a 2 minute bench minor for any player who enters the ice during play who is not in the proper uniform or who is not color coordinated. Each time the player returns to the ice out of uniform or out of color coordination another bench minor can be called. If you forget the right colors you will be out of luck, there are no warnings or notices like we had during the regular season, the player will be permitted to resume play once they are in proper uniform and properly color coordinated.

The color coordination rule will be strictly enforced for helmets, jerseys and pants. Taping helmets is an acceptable method of meeting the rule. Helmets painted by anyone other than the manufacturer are considered dangerous equipment, and thus illegal. Pant shells are acceptable as well.

If you have chosen to tape a helmet, make sure you made a good effort to cover it.
